The Motherland

My sister suggested that we travel to Prague in 2018. My mother and her sister joined us. Our trip happened to coincide with the 100-year anniversary of our Czech family establishing a homestead in the U.S.

Eska

We loved Eska! Eska is a restaurant in the Karlin district. This description from Taste of Prague hooked us, "Czech tradition is getting a serious update in this restaurant/bakery/cafe in a converted Karlin factory with a healthy dose of vegetables, foraging, fermentation and natural wines. Cool industrial design with an open kitchen does not hide anything from sight."

After being one of the last customers to leave Eska, we had to RUN for the train. Beth and I decided to go to Le Valmont Club for a night cap, while Dana and Sequoia opted to go home. They ended up getting lost and we beat them home, but thankfully they made it back safely.
